Alyssa Nishihira, PA-C, MPAS is a nationally certified physician assistant with over a decade of diverse medical experience specializing in women’s health and aesthetic medicine. Alyssa is well-versed in advanced aesthetic techniques and has had training in the latest injectable hyaluronic acid filler techniques by world-renowned surgeons from Italy, Brazil, and England. She has been practicing in Nothern Nevada since 2016 and has become a leader within the medical and educational community. She is passionate about helping patients achieve natural results while maintaining a holistic and evidence-based approach to patient care.
Alyssa was born and raised in Hawai’i and received her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology while working as a student athletic trainer at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. She received a second Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, where she was also inducted into Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for PAs.
In addition to her expertise in aesthetics, Alyssa’s background includes working in neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and primary care. She has worked as a surgical first-assist in complex surgical revisions and trauma procedures and managed peri-operative care. Her comprehensive clinical experience equips her to provide safe, effective, and personalized treatments for every patient.
Alyssa is deeply committed to education and leadership. She serves as community faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Physician Assistant Program. She also serves on the board of directors for the Nevada Association of Physician Assistants (NAPA) and serves as the Nevada Chief Delegate in the House of Delegates, representing Nevada at the national level in the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). She is a dedicated lifelong learner and is a published peer-reviewed journal author and regularly creates educational content on social media. She also shares her knowledge with other local injectors as a trainer in techniques for neuromodulators, filler, and Sculptra.
Outside of her medical career, Alyssa is a proud owner of Stella Coffee Company, a coffee shop in MidTown committed to partnering with other local businesses to bring the best coffee and baked goods to the community. Alyssa finds joy in creating meaningful connections in all aspects of life.
